Creating Radical Resolutions Part 3:

What do YOU want to do?

We all live very busy lives and have a lot of obligations which dominate our time.

More often than not, hobbies, passions and play --the “life” part of work/life balance…the things that bring us joy, make us laugh, fill us up, or move us to tears-- are considered “spare time” activities.

If we don’t carve out the time, or make the “life stuff” into a habit, it will probably be the first thing to fall by the way-side when life gets busy.

At  the start of a new year, many of us instead carve out time for our “shoulds and woulds” … “What should be different about me?” or “What would make me more worthy/attractive/successful… “ (in comparison with others).

Instead of using your precious “resolution” energy to do all your “shoulds”, why not use it to turn the stuff you want to do and enjoy doing into a daily habit?

Again, our aim with resolutions is to improve our lives. I’d venture to say a sure-fire way to improve our lives is to add more joy to the cup!

Imagine how much better life could be if we had even just a few minutes of that good stuff every single day.

Ask yourself:

“What  fills my joy cup?”

“What would I spend more time doing if I already felt “worthy”

After all, you can’t pour from an empty cup.

And here’s a radical thought: You don’t have to earn your joy!

But you do have to make time for it.
